Like those old Sierra games in the 80s

Kinda reminds me of those games like King's Quest and Quest for Glory, those OLD games. I've only sample a little bit of it, and it might be nice to add like an "arrow" like how they did on Final Fantasy VII to show you were you can enter/exit. I got stuck trying to find an entrance/exit in a few parts of it.

Looks good, and it brings out some good memories back in the old pixelated adventure gaming days.

Very nice emulation, but with flaws

I liked it, but do you remember that the original is done by mashing two buttons in rapid succession? It was too damn easy. Plus, when the timer runs out, they automatically punch through it (depending on your energy), but here, it freezes.

PsychoX-02568 responds:

I tried adding both those features but the game would fuck up... Thought it might be easier this way too. Thanks for the suggestion!

Finally!

A different tutorial on Newgrounds, excellent. Let's hope sprite-haters don't BLAM this.

Rathanos responds:

A bit later to blam it :) But we can hope they won't shoot its score too low.

Thanks for the review.

I hope Tom Fulp reviews this

In the very positive way. I wished to see how much experience it'll take to reach each levels, oh well. Besides that, perfect job, research and everything.

Pilot-Doofy responds:

Thanks, I'm glad you really liked it. I couldn't add the experience needed for ALL the levels. I could have done 1 - 9 but on levels 10 - 29 the amount of exp. needed is dependant on how many points the top user has.

Since HumanTarget52 is at level 30, every time he deposits exp. it raises the gap between levels in proportional incriments.

Hope that explains it. I just didn't feel like updating this flash every single day ya know?

A decent database

Seems very good from what I've seen. But I had a problem with the "Dubbing is bad" part. It can be true that they can be BAD. But you might be forgetting about the dubbing of "Cowboy Bebop", "New Mobile Suit Chronicles: Gundam Wing" or "You're Under Arrest." They are quite good, if not better. I prefer mood over dialogue, depending on how I feel about them. I can understand where you are coming from.

You've covered alot of ground and covered them well. And may I suggest that you check out "Animation Runner Kurumi," because they have some excellent extras of comparing and contrasting on how American and Japanese animations are done. Hell, you might update this some more seeing your file size is under two megs. So please update this frequently to keep us all up to speed on "latest animes" and such. Anywho, tis your choice.

Excellent Job though.

Oh yeah, I would redo the interface, I hate going back to the elevator every time, and having just one or two things per floor seems too tiring.

VirulentShuriken responds:

thx for the review, ill check out Animation Runner Kurumi ^_^

The one-man show, Synsanoko Studios, producer of flash comics.
