I've seen the original, so I knew what to expect from here. The story is simple and straight to the point. The voices are pretty good like the original. But I can't believe you didn't try recreating the credit sequence!
Author's Response:
bacause this is the credits and this is non-informative... IMHO

Just the fact the these are animated made it stand out from the rest. Also, marking the differences by "correcting" the mistake is pretty original rather than just circling it. While I like "ATI: Spot The Difference" for its bubble-headed cuteness, excellent art, and story; I love this one for its casual flair, animated look, music, and ambiance. Excellent game to play at night before heading off to sleep. Sweet dreams here.
Author's Response:
Thanks for all the kind words, that means a lot to me as I'm a big fan of sweet dreaming.

It's great to see this again with some of the extended content. The humor is still there. The artwork is still how I remember it, although I wished that it was touched up in a few parts, such as Ether's humpback. The audio in some parts sounded like it's breaking apart, but that's only in the parts where they are were loud. It's still decent.
Overall, I still remember this as one of the funniest Flash videos I've seen back in the day. And it was thanks to a couple of friends who showed it to us at one of the computer labs in high school.

A very unique satire on videogames with blatant instructions [instead of having people figuring out what to do], easy boss battle [as oppose to those that make you want to break your controller in half], and an awesome song. If anything, the song made this game worth it.

Excellent use of the original 8-bit audio added to the experience for someone who remembers this game fondly.

The game is not all that bad, the engine's good, but it needs some work.
-The physics are VERY wonky. For example, when I veer left, the car still continues "right" for quite some time, causing me to crash frequently. Increase the deceleration rate.
-The camera angle is too low for my taste. With the barriers the same, it'll be best to bring the camera up more, so you'll get a much better view of the area and where you should start turning.

I do like the concept of a cylinder tetris, but there are some quirks that has to be resolved if you plan on a sequel.
-The controls are slow. Slow as in they are not that responsive. At least in my style, I constantly tap the buttons to move, and in this case they only work about half the time. Like scqjayce said, puzzle games, especially Tetris rely on fast and responsive controls. Gameplay-wise, this is the biggest grudge I have against the game.
-The depth of field is pretty poor, as in the radius of the each circle inside of it is the same distance from their respective outer. Commonly known fact that an object appears to shrinks slower as it gets farther away (that's the best I can word it). Read up on how perspectives are drawn, especially highway tunnels. Look at some pictures of them, all the lights are technically the same distance apart, but from YOUR view, how far apart do they look like? This is a big problem to me in terms of I'm an artist and it also made it tough for me to line up the blocks, which leads into some suggestions.
Suggestions
-Improve the depth of field, it'll look better.
-Alternate the line colors, it will make it a lot easier to line up the block to where you want it.
-Improve on the controls to have it respond quicker.
-Also add some music in the background. Even the generic Tetris theme would work since it's easy to listen to while playing, and not too distracting.

A very somber story, but I really like the twist at the two endings. The atmosphere is also very well done.
Author's Response:
Thanks...! I've been on this exploration of twisted irony for the past two years. You can find more in my webcomic at the-retriever.com :)

"One of those things that just boggles your mind"
To be honest, I cannot really determine if I like it or not. But maybe that's the nature of this submission. Even though the Chuck Norris jokes are getting kinda stale, this game is alright.

You had the guts to create some totally different, and it turned out with great success. This might trigger the start of the next generation of Clocks.
